Favourite Film home? Really? I have none. Well, so I thought and passed over The Favourite Film and TV Homes Blogathon. Then, out of the blue it came to me…my absolute favourite home. How could I forgotten about it? I’ve often thought about it and the happy family that calls it home.
This is it:
You’ll have lots of space and room to move:
A perfect kitchen:
Even running water:
Evening music floating through the air:
The bedroom is well stocked with books which you can read under the stars when you open the skylight:
Family bonding. Be it in the living area or the lounge:
When you want to keep those neighbours out? Just pull up the stairs:
And there’s enough to do for entertainment:
Everything you could possibly wish for. The home of The Swiss Family Robinson.
Update: I promise I didn’t copy any other participants’ format. I only read all the others after I’d finished this one. Great minds I guess…

This film is so nice! Tree houses are not very common here where I live, which increases my fascination with them. I’m not sure if I’d like to live with the Robinsons ofr a long time, but maybe a weekend in their house would be cool.
Kisses!

Cozy! Personally, I’d like to live at Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters. Sadly, I haven’t found my superpower yet! 🙂

Love the idea of being able to pull up the stairs so no one can bother you — so practical! 😉
Thanks for this post about such a fun house!

Aaah, coolest treehouse ever! I miss the walkthrough they had of it at Disneyland, but we’ll always have this movie.

Beats the shacks the castaways built on “Gilligan’s Island” by a mile. Just by being in a tree. Good post.

I would have never thought of a tree house but this one is definitely one that I wouldn’t mind living in for a little while! And how awesome would this be as a kid!
Thanks so much for participating in the blogathon with this truly unique house 🙂

Plus, if pirates attack you can just drop logs on them and let them fall into a pit of tigers.

Perfect. Absolutely perfect. I was entranced by this house when I was a kid. Haven’t seen the movie in years, but that design and execution certainly holds up. Well done!
